Peggy Ovire Biography

Peggy Ovire Enoho, better known simply as Peggy, is a movie producer, model, and actress who hails from Nigeria. She was named the “Most Promising Actress Of The Year (English)” at the City People Entertainment Awards 2015 edition. Peggy was honored for her work in English.

Early life and education

Ovire hails from Ughelli in Delta State, Nigeria. She was the sixth and final child to be born to her parents, making her the youngest member of a family of six children. Ovire spent the majority of her life up to this point in Lagos state, which is also the location of her birth. Ovire went to school in Surulere, Lagos State, first at the Itire Nursery and Primary School and then at the AUD Secondary School, all of which are located in the same town.

re began her postsecondary education at Delta State University, Abraka; however, she ultimately finished it at Ambrose Alli University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance.

Career

In an interview with The Punch print media outlet, Ovire said that she began her career in the entertainment sector as a model before making her debut in the Nigerian film industry known as Nollywood. She went on to say that the very first film she was in was one that was produced by Uche Nancy. Her appearance in the television series Husbands of Lagos brought her cinematic career of Ovire into the public eye for the first time. Ovire stated that the television series was responsible for bringing her notoriety and that it caused her to become famous outside of her native Nigeria. She worked on the production of Rising Sun alongside Ifeanyi Kalu as a member of the casting staff.
